ANFEAE´s mission is to help economic and social development of the country through promoting Life Long Learning and facilitating quality and life-enhancing education and training for adults, the youth and children in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia.

Capacity Building
Strengthening the capacities of community based organizations and grassroots government structures to enable them initiate and implement appropriate and life-enhancing education and training programs;

Research and Documentation
Conducting studies, researches and documentations with the aim of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of community empowerment programs;

Women Empowerment
Putting functional adult literacy/learning as a center, ANFEAE strives to assist women initiatives to address strategic and practical needs of poor women. Assisting poor women organize themselves and get access to and control over resources and thereby enhance their participation in economic. Social and political decisions of their country.

Cross Cutting Issues
ANFEAE works on pertinent cross cutting issues such as HIV/AIDS, Gender and Environment. ANFEAE mainstreams these important aspects of development into all its programme interventions;

Networking and Partnership
Establishing and strengthening networks and partnership among education and community empowerment actors both nationally and internationally.
